Spectrum Miami And Red Dot Miami Announce Schedule Of Programming For Miami Art Week 2024
Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami, two of the longest running contemporary and fine art fairs during Miami Art Week, announces this year’s five-day schedule of interactive programming, taking place December 4—8, 2024.
Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami will return to Wynwood Arts District this year, at Mana Wynwood Convention Center at 2217 NW 5th Ave. and NW 22nd St. – with the only Two Fairs Under One Roof, offering a world-class experience for both exhibitors and art enthusiasts during this year’s Miami Art Week. The fairs will cover more than 150,000 square feet of exhibition space, with an estimated 30,000 attendees flocking to see the artwork of more than 1,000 artists showcased by over 280 exhibitors. Avid art enthusiasts and industry leaders will also return to enjoy [SOLO], highlighting established and independent emerging artists. Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami are accessible for visitors on foot and by car, as the only fairs to have on-site parking, all within walking distance from Wynwood’s popular restaurants, bars and retail boutiques. “We’re pleased to announce our five-day world class schedule of programming for this year’s Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami,” says Eric Smith, President of Redwood Art Group. “This year’s program will include a host of exciting exhibitors from around the world, as well as new sponsors for attendees to enjoy, such as Monkey Shoulder bourbon whiskey in the Red Dot lounge, and Dr. Gab’s Swaf lager from Switzerland, in addition to our returning liquor sponsor Empress 1908 Gin. We have the acclaimed street artist and muralist “Okuda” and Rock sensation Bryan Adams has collaborated with Save The Chimps and 16 of its most artistic primates from one of the largest chimpanzee sanctuaries in the world to present their first joint collection. Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami is the ultimate destination for the fine art industry and contemporary art enthusiast, with exhibits showcasing the world’s most progressive works that are shaping trends and the future of the art world.”
This year’s program features an extensive series of daily activities for attendees, that includes the Spotlight Program, a focused look at several cutting-edge galleries and artists chosen by the Redwood Art Group selection committee; Art Labs, a series of outstanding projects by leading galleries, art institutions, and art collectives within the fair; Meet the Artists and Live Demonstrations, presenting an interactive experience—allowing attendees to get up-close-and-personal with the artists; and The Discoveries Collection – selections of artwork chosen by the Redwood curatorial team that make up a group of amazing discoveries throughout both fairs, each priced at $3,000 or less.
To mark commencement of the five-day global showcase in contemporary art, culture and entertainment, the annual Opening Night VIP Preview takes place on Wednesday, December 4, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., presented by Empress 1908 Gin and other libations, hors d’oeuvres and musical entertainment by DJ Armando. Hundreds of the world’s most affluent art dealers, collectors, artists, gallery owners, curators and art enthusiasts attend the opening night extravaganza for Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami on an annual basis, to get a first look at the inspirational works by the more than 280 exhibiting artists and galleries from around the world.
