S-BRT Presented German Artist Silke Bianca’s “Zen Garden Cycle” Exhibition At Art Basel 2024 Featuring An Extraordinary One Night Popup At Parc Lofts & The Vernissage At Modern Design Haven of ENNE

S BRT Contemporary Art, bridging the worlds of interior design, art, and serene living by creating harmonious spaces that radiate calm and balance, hosted the exhibition of renowned Art Composer Silke Bianca’s “Zen Garden Cycle” at 2024 Art Basel in Miami Beach. It started with a one-night preview at Sebastian FRINGS & FRIENDS Popup Gallery, Parc Lofts. The main vernissage took place Friday, December 6, 2024, at the ENNE Showroom, 3921 NE 2nd Avenue in the heart of Miami’s Design District. Bianca hosted an artist talk at ENNE Showroom the following day on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

The “Zen Garden Cycle” showcased Silke Bianca’s extraordinary and unique method of Art Composing, a new approach to providing scalable interior environments with contemporary modern art that reflects the style, colors, and interpretation of urban living. By highlighting the meaningfulness of looking at art at the moment of its “perceived use,” viewers do not impose their own interpretation but instead are attuned to their state of mind, sense of well-being, serenity, and harmony within spaces. ENNE Showroom served as an ideal venue to exhibit Bianca’s collection with their focus on aesthetics and design; craftsmanship; and the common goal of inspiring people to feel at home in their living art world.

“Zen Garden Cycle” unobtrusively merges interior design and art to create an atmosphere in which the viewer subconsciously feels immediately at ease. Bianca’s work is inspired by her passion for interior aesthetics and her sense of color, which she uses to create a symbiosis between interior design, art, and aesthetic living in the here and now. The “Zen Garden Cycle” showed mostly monochrome but reflective pictures with relief-like structures, created with a comb spatula to apply the color mass to the picture surface. Each piece, framed in handcrafted black steel, invited contemplation and embodied a striking balance of movement and stillness. Through diptychs, triptychs, and innovative uses of materials, the art stands as an extension of its environment, echoing furniture lines and enhancing the atmosphere.

“In contrast to an increasingly restless world, it is important to live one’s inner peace and serenity and create mental stillness through the symbiosis of art and interior design. The essence of Zen, in this case, is that art fulfills its purpose in the living environment – not art for political discourse, no museum pieces, but sustainable and justifiable art with a harmonious effect in everyday life,” says Silke Bianca, S-BRT’s featured artist. “Art Composing reflects my desire to let positive thoughts, harmony, and serenity speak from my work. It was an honor to bring this philosophy to the world-renowned Art Basel Miami – it was more than just viewing art; it was about truly immersing yourself in a cultural phenomenon that celebrates the spirit of creativity.”

Bianca’s grandfather was a painter and chairman of the famous Düsseldorf Artist Association.

She has honed her technique in classical painting, analytical painting, and mixed media art by attending the Waldorf School, the Goetheanum Art Academy, London’s Royal Academy of Arts, Art Academy Eigenart, and various painting schools. She has had exhibitions in Berlin, Salzburg, Düsseldorf, and London. Travel in Southeast Asia, Zen Buddhism, and the meditative tranquility of a Zen Garden in Japan have all influenced her working technique.

The “Zen Garden Cycle” was composed of a myriad of pieces with titles such as “Tranquility of Coloured Explosions” and “Reflexivity of Floating Thoughts.” There are four special editions available specifically for Miami Art Basel. The extraordinary mixed media art pieces range in price from $5K to $24K.

About Silke Bianca and S-BRT Contemporary Art

Silke Bianca is regarded as a representative of a new analytical painting school and questions the parameters of painting in her works, expanding and breaking through the boundaries of graphics, painting and sculpture – which can be seen as the beginning and restart of the famous artist group, ZEROART 2.0.

Her most extensive group of works, The ZEN GARDEN CYCLE is representative of this approach: art composing. The material haptics become blurred with the aesthetics of the room, the furniture lines are found again in the comb spatula and the colorful coexistence of classics with modern colour accents, including pop art, is calmed by the reflections of the release structures and merge in colour into an overall artistic art composition, which is inherent in its uniqueness at every point and in every interior space.

Silke Bianca obtained her anthroposophical influence through the Waldorf School, and also attended the Goetheanum Art Academy in Dornach, Switzerland (www.goetheanum.ch), the Royal Academy of Arts, London, UK (www.royalacademy.org.uk), various painting schools for analytical painting, Art Academy Eigenart, Bavaria (www.kunstakademieeigenart.de), and has collaborated with Sabine Rockemull master student of Markus Lüpertz.

She has had several exhibitions in Berlin, Salzburg, Düsseldorf, and London. Her technique spans classical painting, analytical painting, and mixed media art.
