Overtown Performing Arts Center Main Hall

Initially built in 1947, the Overtown Performing Arts Center (OPAC) was formerly known as the Ebenezer Methodist Church, which housed one of the oldest congregations in Overtown. The former church underwent an entire renovation by the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency (SEOPW CRA), converting it into a performing arts center and event space. The SEOPW CRA currently owns and operates the OPAC. The City of Miami designated the OPAC as a historic venue for its traditional Gothic-style architecture, unique exterior design, and architecturally detailed windows and high ceilings, which remain today.
