Ring in the New Year oceanside at Fort Lauderdale’s iconic Mexican hotspot Lona Cocina & Tequileria. On Tuesday, December 31, Lona will bid adieu to 2024 with live DJ entertainment from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM and an indulgent New Year’s Eve Feast with a Mexican twist. The special prix-fixe holiday menu, priced at $75++ per person, will be available from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, in addition to a limited dinner menu featuring an array of signature Lona favorites which will be served until Midnight. Curated by Chef Juan Carlos Peña, the spectacular three-course NYE feast begins with a choice between Tetela de Wagyu with tomatillo, cilantro, crema, queso fresco and beer marinade; or Hamachi in sweet corn and vanilla sauce with guajillo, corn tostada, heirloom tomato and cucumber.
For the main course, guests will enjoy entree selections of Poached Halibut with roasted carrots, creamy poblano sauce and street elote; or Wagyu Short Rib in guava mole with crispy onions, truffled beans, kale and ancho dust. The festive feast will end on a sweet note with countdown delights including Platano Macho Financier made with diplomat cream, plantains, tequila reposado and Mexican chocolate; and Passion Fruit Mousse with champagne glaze, white chocolate and almond cake. In addition, guests can toast to the New Year with a bottle of Pommary Brut Champagne ($85) and Lona Margarita Pitchers ($65). All guests welcoming 2025 at Lona will receive a complimentary glass of champagne during the Midnight toast, party favors and more!
