BCPS BECON-TV Launches Season 15 of School Duel Student Academic Quiz Show

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) BECON-TV announces the launch of Season 15 of “School Duel,” the premier academic quiz show celebrating the knowledge and skills of high school students across South Florida.

Beginning Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 8 p.m., high school students from Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties will compete in the fast-paced, academic challenge. Each episode features two teams of students facing off in a battle of intellect and quick thinking, answering questions on history, literature, math, science, the arts, pop culture and more. Returning host Lisa Lee Arneaud will guide viewers through the competition, showcasing the talent and knowledge of the students. This season features 24 high schools competing for the coveted championship title.

This season, BCPS teams represent the following schools:
College Academy @ Broward College
Coconut Creek High School
Coral Glades High School
Coral Springs High School
Everglades High School
Hollywood Hills High School
J.P. Taravella High School
McFatter Technical High School
Miramar High School
Monarch High School
Nova High School
Northeast High School
Pompano Beach High School
Sheridan Technical High School
South Broward High School
South Plantation High School
Western High School

The first-place team will receive a year’s worth of Chick-fil-A, provided by Chick-fil-A South Florida and the second-place team is awarded cash prizes courtesy of Brightstar Credit Union. All participating students receive trophies from EDCO Awards & Specialties. Additional show sponsors are the Museum of Discovery and Science, Publix Supermarket and Trader Joe’s.

Do not miss the excitement! Tune in to BECON-TV every Thursday at 8 p.m. from February 27, through the season finale on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Each episode will also be rebroadcast on BECON-TV on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m.

BECON-TV is accessible on Xfinity/Comcast Cable HD (channel 488 or 19), DISH Network, DIRECTV and AT&T U-verse (channel 63).
