Aquarium at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science

The four-level Aquarium building at Frost Science invites guests to immerse themselves in the stunning aquatic ecosystems of South Florida. Begin on the open-air top level, then descend below the waterline into a more intimate and immersive interior space. The most dominant feature is the 500,000-gallon cone-shaped Gulf Stream Aquarium, which spans three floors and provides corner-less cruising for fish of the open ocean. The bottom of the cone forms the ceiling of the Ocean Gallery, creating a dramatic exhibition and event space below. The custom aquarium buyout experience offers guests the opportunity to explore and discover all four levels of the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science’s aquarium building.

THE VISTA

The Vista level of the museum’s Aquarium is a 8,200 square foot open-air space designed to impress your attendees with mesmerizing views of Biscayne Bay, the vibrant Miami skyline, and the greenery of Maurice A. Ferré Park just below. The top deck of the Aquarium puts you at the surface of key South Florida ecosystems, including a stingray touch pool, aviary, an Everglades habitat, and more, allowing curious attendees to enjoy unique and memorable experiences.

For a dynamic multi-level event, The Vista space flows naturally into other event spaces in the Aquarium, including The Dive, The Deep, and the ground floor Ocean Gallery. The Vista is an 8,200 square foot space that can hold up to 500 guests.

THE DIVE

A large but intimate 7,000 square foot space that glows in aquatic blue from the numerous aquariums and displays. Surround your attendees with colorful subtropical sea life in a space ideal for receptions or small parties. Enjoy underwater views through the main aquarium portholes while entertaining your guests with high-tech interactive games. The Dive space can hold up to 200 guests.

THE DEEP

For the most awe-inspiring “wow” factor, guests can marvel at the bottom of Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science’s 500,000-gallon Gulf Stream Aquarium exhibit to view life beneath the sea through the stunning 31-foot-wide Oculus window. Swimming sharks and schools of fish can be the backdrop for wedding ceremonies, lectures, or for a variety of intimate events. An exciting spot for selfies and group pictures, this space will be the highlight of your event.

To complete this immersive experience, you can add the connected Ocean Gallery to your rental to host dinners or dance parties with Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science’s LED dance floor and built-in screens.

The Deep can hold up to 250 guests in a 3,800 square foot space.
